Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Fellowships - University of Southern Denmark (SDU)'s Historical Economics and Development Group (Odense, Denmark)

The Department of Business and Economics is looking for excellent and highly motivated researchers to submit joint projects under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships action. If successful, the project will lead to a position at our university for two years as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow.

Accepted fellows will be working at the Department of Business and Economics and the Historical Economics and Development Group (HEDG), which focuses on growth, development and economic history. Since its establishment in 2011, HEDG has been one of the fastest growing groups within growth, development and economic history and is arguably one of the leading groups in Europe. The work carried out by the group can be described as quantitative, empirical work. The research of the group often focuses on evaluating the effect of an intervention on economic development, for example the impact of health improvements on long-term growth and assessing the impact of agricultural productivity on development.

The successful candidate(s) will have a strong international profile, a strong record of research publications, and have demonstrated exceptional potential to excel in scientific research. We offer a uniquely ambitious research environment, and we expect successful applicants to actively engage in the development of the research unit.

If interested in pursuing this opportunity, please forward your CV and a short, motivated application including your research area, project idea and proposed supervisor, and how you and your research relates and could contribute to the Historical Economics and Development Group.

Expressions of interest must be forwarded before February 28th 2020 to kdo@sam.sdu.dk (Karla Douw, research support officer). Selected candidates are invited to participate in a Marie Curie IF masterclass at SDU on the 5th and 6th of May 2020. The MSCA Individual Fellowship deadline is September 9th 2020.
