Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Fellowships - University of Southern Denmark (SDU)'s Historical Economics and Development Group (Odense, Denmark)
The Department of Business and Economics is looking for excellent and highly motivated researchers to submit joint projects under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships action. If successful, the project will lead to a position at our university for two years as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow.
Accepted fellows will be working at the Department of Business and Economics and the Historical Economics and Development Group (HEDG), which focuses on growth, development and economic history. Since its establishment in 2011, HEDG has been one of the fastest growing groups within growth, development and economic history and is arguably one of the leading groups in Europe. The work carried out by the group can be described as quantitative, empirical work. The research of the group often focuses on evaluating the effect of an intervention on economic development, for example the impact of health improvements on long-term growth and assessing the impact of agricultural productivity on development.
The successful candidate(s) will have a strong international profile, a strong record of research publications, and have demonstrated exceptional potential to excel in scientific research. We offer a uniquely ambitious research environment, and we expect successful applicants to actively engage in the development of the research unit.

Prerequisites of applicants:
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship requirements. Candidates can be of any nationality, must hold a PhD degree or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience, and must not have worked or lived in Denmark for the previous 36 months at the time of application.
Required working language: English.
